The Coastal Watershed Conservation in the Context of Climate Change (C6) project provided technical and administrative follow-up to ten PAs, emphasizing strategic planning, experience exchange events, project review processes, and emergency fund application and reporting. FONNOR (Northwestern and western Fund) established a matching fund for payments for environmental services in the core zones of the Sierra de Vallejo–Río Ameca Biosphere Reserve, following the publication of its decree. The project also supported the institutional development of Gulf of Mexico Fund (FGM, acronym in Spanish) and FONNOR, both of which foster strategic alliances and programs with public and private sectors for environmental protection and sustainable management.
